Sao Bento Station

A public artwork inside a working station.

Sao Bento Station's entrance hall is covered with about 20,000 azulejo tiles by Jorge Colaco, installed between 1905 and 1916. The scenes show historic battles, rural life, and the history of Portuguese transport.
